September 30 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's gross foreign debt increased by 3.8% year-on-year to 42.07 billion euro ($40.8 billion) at the end of July, the central bank said on Friday.
Gross external liabilities at the end of July were equivalent to 53.2% of the gross domestic product (GDP) forecast for 2022, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said in a monthly report.
As at end of July, gross external liabilities with remaining maturity of over one year amounted to 25.06 billion euro, or 59.6% of the total.
At 7.15 billion euro, the general government gross foreign debt was equal to 9% of the planned GDP, having dropped by 14.6% compared to the same month of 2021.
