September 20 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian poultry producer Gradus [BUL:GR6] said on Wednesday that it has redeemed 638,000 of its own shares at an average price of 1.44 levs ($0.78/0.73 euro) apiece, continuing its current share buyback programme.
Following the transaction, which was carried out on on September 19, Gradus now owns a total of 3,970,820 shares.

This represents 1.63% of the company's share capital in the form of voting rights.
The poultry producer initiated the share repurchase programme in January, targeting up to 3% of equity capital, or up to 7,308,261 of treasury stock.
As at 1535 CEST, shares in Gradus were trading 4.17% higher at 1.50 levs, bourse data showed.
