April 1 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's government said it decided on Wednesday to propose to parliament a one-month extension of the state of emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic, to May 13.
"The pressure on the healthcare system can only be eased by an extension of the terms and measures for social isolation and for combating the pandemic so that it can be effectively contained," the government said in a press release.
Bulgaria declared a one-month state of emergency on March 13, five days after the first cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). As of Monday, there were 412 cases of the disease in Bulgaria with nine deaths and twenty recoveries.
