January 30 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's gross external debt increased by 5.1% year-on-year to 43.79 billion euro ($47.72 billion) at the end of November 2022 after climbing by an annual 6.8% in October, the central bank said on Monday.
Gross external debt at the end of November was equivalent to 55.4% of the gross domestic product (GDP) forecast for 2022, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said in a monthly report.
In November 2021, the foreign debt was equivalent to 58.6% of 2021 estimated GDP.
At 8.46 billion euro, the general government gross foreign debt in November 2022 was equivalent to 10.7% of the estimated GDP, rising by 2.7% on the year.
