April 1 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's finance ministry said that it expects the consolidated budget to show a surplus of 1.79 billion levs ($1.03 billion/915 million euro) at the end of March, equivalent to 1.5% of the projected 2019 gross domestic product (GDP).
Consolidated budget revenues are expected to be 1.63 billion levs higher on the year at 10.85 billion levs at the end of March, or 24.7% of the full-year plan, the ministry said in a statement on Friday.
Consolidated budget expenditures at the end of March are projected to be equal to 20.4% of the full-year plan, or 9.06 billion levs, up from 8.63 billion levs at the end of March 2018.
In a separate statement the finance ministry said that country's February consolidated budget showed a surplus of 1.51 billion levs equivalent to 1.3% of the projected GDP.
Bulgaria's 2019 budget targets a deficit equivalent to 0.5% of the projected GDP, which is expected to grow by a real 3.7% to 116.4 billion levs.
