May 31 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian caretaker government said on Wednesday that it has granted to local company Evropat 2005 a 35-year concession for the Yanaklaka dolomite marble quarry in the region of Haskovo, in southern Bulgaria.
Evropat 2005 will invest over 486,700 levs ($265,800/248,800 euro) in mining the quarry during the period of the concession, the government said after a regular session.
Concession payments payable by the company to the state will exceed 1.1 million levs over the duration of the contract.
The cabinet has authorised the energy ministry to hold negotiations and sign a concession contract with Evropat 2005 within six months, according to the statement.
Evropat 2005 is headquartered in Haskovo and is active in the road construction sector.
