November 26 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian state-owned Electricity System Operator (ESO) said on Monday that it has opened a 105 million levs ($61.0 million/53.7 million euro) tender for construction of a 133-km 400 kV overhead transmission line.
The tender is divided into three lots, each for the construction of a section of the power line, ESO said in a tender notice.
The transmission line will connect Maritsa East 3 coal-fired power plant majority owned and operated by LSE-listed power producer ContourGlobal, and the city of Burgas, on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast.
Construction works under each of the three lots must be completed within just over 1 year.
The deadline for submitting offers is January 3.
Bids will be ranked based solely on their price.
Last week, ESO launched the construction of a 400 kV overhead transmission line between Dobrudzha and Burgas power substations.
ESO is also currently holding a public procurement procedure for awarding a 103 million levs contract for building a 400 kV overhead transmission line between Varna and Burgas power substations.
