July 26 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian cables maker Emka [BUL:EMKA] said on Monday that its net profit rose to 4.9 million levs ($3 million/2.5 million euro) in the first half of the year from 1.6 million levs in the same period of last year, supported by higher revenue.
Emka’s total revenue increased to 69.7 million levs in the January-June period of 2021 from 44.2 million levs a year earlier, the company said in an interim financial statement.
The company’s expenses went up to 64.8 million levs from 42.5 million levs in the review period as expenses for materials increased to 58.2 million levs from 37.1 million levs.
As at 15:35 CET, shares in Emka traded 4.29% higher at a price of 3.40 levs on the floor of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, bourse data showed.
