March 21 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian battery manufacturer Elhim Iskra [BUL:ELHM] said on Tuesday that it recorded a preliminary gross profit of 48,000 levs ($26,302/24,542 euro) in the first two months of 2023.
Sales revenue amounted to 8.01 million levs between January and February, Elhim Iskra said in a stock exchange filing.

In the same period of 2022, the company booked a preliminary loss of 360,000 levs on a revenue of some 6.98 million levs, according to previously disclosed data.
In February alone, the battery maker generated a preliminary profit of 100,000 levs on sales of 4.19 million levs, compared to a loss of 165,000 levs on a revenue of 3.66 million levs in February 2022.
Looking ahead, Elhim Iskra expects to book a revenue of some 4.3 million levs in March, up 13% year-on-year.
The Pazardzhik-based company, which is part of local diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH], exports over 90% of its output.
Shares in Elhim Iskra last traded at 0.96 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, bourse data show.
