May 19 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian battery manufacturer Elhim Iskra [BUL:ELHM] said on Friday that it turned a preliminary gross profit of 299,000 levs ($165,305/152,876 euro) in the first four months of 2023.
Sales revenue amounted to some 16 million levs between January and April, Elhim Iskra said in a bourse filing.

In the same period of 2022, the company booked a preliminary loss of 650,000 levs on revenue of some 14.5 million levs, according to previously disclosed data.
In April alone, the battery maker generated a preliminary profit of 108,000 levs on revenue of 3.5 million levs, compared to a loss of 116,000 levs on sales of 3.7 million levs in April 2022.
Looking ahead, Elhim Iskra expects to book a revenue of 3.4 million levs in May, down 20% year-on-year.
The Pazardzhik-based company, which is part of local diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH], exports over 90% of its output.
Shares in Elhim Iskra last traded on May 11 when they closed at 0.99 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, bourse data show.
