July 20 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian car battery manufacturer Elhim Iskra [BUL:ELHM] said on Wednesday it booked a preliminary loss of 689,000 levs ($360,865/352,280 euro) in the first half of 2022, even as it posted a preliminary profit of 129,000 levs in June alone.
Revenue in the first six months of the current year amounted to roughly 22.6 million levs, the company said in a bourse filing.

In June alone, Elhim Iskra generated sales of 3.9 million levs, which represented a year-on-year decline of 2.5%.
The company's first-half result compares to a preliminary profit of 966,000 levs on revenue of over 19 million levs in the January-June period of 2021, according to previously disclosed data.
The car battery manufacturer expects to report revenue of 3.8 million levs for July, it added in the filing.
Elhim Iskra is part of local blue-chip diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH]. The Pazardzhik-based company exports over 90% of its output.
