August 22 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian car battery manufacturer Elhim Iskra [BUL:52E] said on Thursday that it booked sales revenue of 2.53 million levs ($1.44 million/1.29 million euro) in July, exceeding its forecast for sales of 2.43 million levs.
Elhim Iskra generated accumulated January-July revenue of 22.13 million levs and a gross profit of 678,000 levs, the company said in a bourse filing.

In the first seven months of last year, the company booked sales of 23.38 million levs and a gross profit of 432,000 levs, according to previously reported figures.
The battery maker expects to book revenue of 2.50 million levs in August, down from its August 2018 sales of 2.94 million levs.
Elhim Iskra is part of blue-chip diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:5SR].
The Pazardzhik-based company exports over 90% of its output.
