February 21 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian battery manufacturer Elhim Iskra [BUL:ELHM] said on Tuesday that it recorded a preliminary loss of 53,000 levs ($28,925/27,098 euro) in January, compared to a loss of 195,000 levs reported for the same month of last year.
Sales revenue increased by 15% on the year in January, to some 3.8 million levs, Elhim Iskra said in a bourse filing.

Looking ahead, the company expects to record a sales revenue of 4 million levs in February, up 9% rise in annual terms.
Last month, Elhim Iskra reported a standalone net profit of 324,000 levs for 2022, lower than the profit of 379,000 levs the previous year, while revenue increased to 47.02 million levs from 39.8 million levs.
The Pazardzhik-based company, which is part of local diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:SPH], exports over 90% of its output.
Shares in Elhim Iskra last traded at 1.00 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, bourse data show.
