February 21 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian car battery manufacturer Elhim Iskra [BUL:52E] said on Thursday that it booked sales revenue of 3.75 million levs ($2.2 million/1.9 million euro) in January, exceeding its forecast for 3.43 million levs in sales, and posted a gross profit of 112,000 levs in the first month of the year.
The company recorded sales of 3.35 million levs and a gross loss of 35,000 levs in January 2018, according to previously published data.

Elhim Iskra expects to generate sales of 3.1 million levs in February, the company said in a bourse filing.
Elhim Iskra is part of blue-chip diversified group Stara Planina Hold [BUL:5SR].
The Pazardzhik-based company exports over 90% of its output.
