November 25 (SeeNews) - Electrohold Bulgaria, the electricity supply and distribution arm of diversified group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG], said on Friday that it has allocated over 2 million levs ($1.06 million/1.02 million euro) for investments in the northwestern region of Vidin in 2023.
The amount includes 1.7 million levs, which subsidiary Electrodistribution Grid West will spend on the reconstruction, upgrade and digitalisation of the power grid and related equipment in the region, Electrohold said in a press statement.
In 2022, Electrohold invested 597,000 levs in upgrading low-voltage grids in seven villages and one town in the Vidin region.
In addition, a total of 350,000 levs was spent to renovate a 20 kV overhead power line which supplies 2,400 clients while the repair of a hub station cost a further 290,000 levs. The company also upgraded a number of substations in five municipalities, including Vidin and Bregovo, at a cost of 173,000 levs.
Electrohold has been holding meetings with regional municipalities across Bulgaria to discuss individual investments plans for next year.
