January 9 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian financial leasing company Elana Agrocredit [BUL:EAC] said it struck deals to finance purchases of agricultural land worth 1.11 million levs ($605,975/567,533 euro) in December last year compared to 423,433 levs in the same month of 2021.
Elana Agrocredit financed the purchase of roughly 54 hectares (ha) of land last month, compared to 28.3 ha in December 2021, the company said in a monthly report published on Friday.

At 12, the number of deals for financing purchases of farmland that the financial leasing business agreed in December 2022 was unchanged from a year earlier.
The company, which typically finances 80% of the value of land purchases, also said that as at end-December, it had collected the entire amount of leasing instalments due for 2022.
