August 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Doverie United Holding [BUL:5DOV] said on Friday that it turned to a consolidated net loss of 2.0 million levs ($1.2 million/1.0 million euro) in the first half of 2018 from a net profit of 2.0 million levs in the same period of last year, following a rise in expenses.
The group's total operating expenses increased to 69.7 million levs in the first six months of the year from 65.9 million levs in the corresponding period of 2017, Doverie United Holding said in an interim financial statement.
Cost of goofs sold rose to 31.4 million levs in the review period from 29.4 million levs the year before, while expenses for hired services grew to 14.4 million levs from 13.1 million levs a year earlier.
The company's financial expenses increased to 3.2 million levs in the first half of the year from 1.3 million levs in the like period of 2017.
Total operating revenue edged down to 67.6 million levs in the period under review from 68.7 million levs the year before.
Doverie United Holding comprises over 20 companies operating in various sectors of the economy.
