January 26 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian international freight transport company Discordia said on Thursday that it will invest 5 million euro ($5.4 million) in new software solutions for enterprise resource planning and transportation management systems so as to optimise its operations.
In 2023, the company will focus on expanding its local IT team as part of a stated strategy to reach a total headcount of 10,000 by 2030, Discordia said in a press release.
The logistics company will bank on cloud-to-cloud integration using SAP's Oracle Integration Cloud and Integration Suit. It will fully digitise business processes via Oracle Transportation Management and ERP-SAP S/4HANA RISE Private Cloud. Discordia aims to reach revenue of 1 billion euro by the end of this decade, the company has said.
Founded in 1992, Sofia-based Discordia provides road, rail, container and air freight transport services. It also has offices in Romania and Ukraine.
