July 19 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian meat and dairy company Dimitar Madzharov-2 said on Monday it is investing over 500,000 euro ($588,600) in a new milk production line.
The company is financing 60% of the investment with own funds while the rest is sourced from a subsidy under the EU's Rural Development Programme, Dimitar Madzharov said in a statement.
The company is investing the money in ice water installation for milk cooling and an automated bottling line.
Plovdiv-based Dimitar Madzharov-2, established in 1991, has two divisions - for the production of meat delicacies and for dairy products. The company owns a plant for milk processing in the town of Stamboliyski, in Plovdiv region. The plant has the capacity to process 80 tonnes of milk daily, according to the company's statement.
