November 2 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian state-owned lignite mining company Mini Maritsa Iztok said on Monday that it launched two tenders for the supply of conveyor belts worth a total of 15.4 million levs ($9.2 million/7.9 million euro).
The tender for awarding the higher-priced contract, worth an estimated 11.2 million levs, envisages the delivery of different types of steel cord rubber conveyor belts, Mini Maritsa Iztok said in a tender notice. The other tender, priced at 4.2 million levs, is for supply of conveyor belts with textile cord.
The deadline for submitting offers is November 30 for both tenders. Bids will be ranked solely based on price.
Mini Maritsa Iztok coal mines are located in southern Bulgaria and sell their output mainly to three thermal power plants nearby, owned respectively by ContourGlobal, AES, and the Bulgarian state. The two power plants owned by ContourGlobal and AES generate around 30% of Bulgaria's electricity output.
