December 1 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM] said that its consolidated net profit excluding minority interests grew to 33.5 million levs ($18 million/17.1 million euro) in the first nine months of 2022 from 22 million levs in the like period of last year.
Including minority interests, consolidated net profit rose to 45.3 million levs from 32.7 million levs in January-September 2021, the company said in an interim financial statement earlier this week.
Chimimport's total revenue jumped to roughly 16 billion levs in the nine months through September from 8.64 billion levs in the comparable period of last year.
The company's expenses rose at a similar rate, to 15.9 billion levs from 8.23 billion levs, pushed up by higher costs for materials, hired services and personnel. Cost of goods sold soared to 102.1 million levs in the review period against 17.1 million levs a year earlier.
As at 1513 CET on Thursday, shares in Chimimport traded 3.88% lower at 0.792 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
Chimimport has over 60 subsidiaries active in various sectors of the economy, including banking, insurance, air transport, agriculture, petroleum and natural gas exploration, and others.
