March 2 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:4CF] said on Friday its consolidated net profit rose to 37.3 million levs ($23.5 million/19.1 milion euro) in 2017 from 25.7 million levs in the previous year.
The lender's net interest income grew to 128.0 million levs last year from 120.0 million levs in 2016, Central Cooperative Bank said in an annual financial statement.
Net fee and commission income edged up to 48.2 million levs in the review period from 47.5 million levs in 2016.
Central Cooperative Bank's operating expenses increased to 136.0 million levs in 2017, compared to 134.6 million levs a year earlier.
Consolidated assets rose to 5.66 billion levs at end-2017 from 5.19 billion levs at end-2016.
Central Cooperative Bank was the eighth largest lender in Bulgaria in terms of assets as at end-2017, according to data of Bulgaria's central bank.
