March 1 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Central Cooperative Bank (CCB) [BUL:CCB] said on Wednesday that its consolidated net profit jumped to 38.7 million levs ($21.01 million/19.79 million euro) last year from 27 million levs in 2021.
CCB's net interest income went up by 19% on the year to 135.7 million levs in 2022, the lender said in an annual financial statement. Net fee and commission income grew to 58.1 million levs from 54.5 million levs.
The bank's foreign exchange loss widened to 5.8 million levs last year from 1.8 million levs in 2021.
Operating expenses rose to 157 million levs from 147.2 million levs. Loans and advances to customers climbed to 3.27 billion levs at the end of last year from 3.12 billion levs at the end of 2021, whereas deposits added 6% to 7.34 billion levs.
The bank's assets increased to 8.1 billion levs in 2022 from 7.7 billion levs a year earlier. CCB was Bulgaria’s seventh-largest lender by assets at the end of January, according to central bank data.
As of 1440 CET on Wednesday, shares in CCB traded 1.82% lower at 1.62 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
