SOFIA (Bulgaria), October 18 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's current account was in surplus of 4.15 billion euro ($4.62 billion) in January-August, compared to a surplus of 2.41 billion euro in the like period of 2018, the central bank said on Friday.

The current account surplus in the first seven months of this year was equivalent to 7% of Bulgaria's expected 2019 gross domestic product (GDP), the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said in a monthly balance of payments report.

In August alone, Bulgaria's current account was in surplus of 955.9 million euro, which compares to a surplus of 1.0 million euro in August 2018.
