October 29 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s business sentiment indicator fell by 1.4 percentage points month-on-month in October, as sentiment worsened across almost all sectors, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Tuesday.
The business sentiment indicator decreased most in construction - by 3.9 pp, followed by retail with a 2.3 pp drop, NSI said in a monthly business climate survey, in which managers of 4,200 enterprises were interviewed.
The indicator fell by 1.0 pp in manufacturing due to the moderate expectations of entrepreneurs regarding the business condition of enterprises and lowered expectations about exports in the next three months.
The indicator improved only in the services sector, by 0.9 pp, as a result of the more favourable assessment of the current business condition of enterprises. However, their expectations regarding demand in the next three months are less optimistic.
