February 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Burgas municipality said on Monday that it has awarded two EU-funded road reconstruction deals, worth a total of 5.3 million levs ($2.9 million/2.7 million euro), to local companies.
The larger deal, worth 2.8 million levs, was signed on January 17 with a tie-up between Torket and Bulelectrics, the municipality said in a notice.
The other contract was won by Trace - Road Construction. The 2.5 million levs deal was also signed on January 17.
The tender for the larger contract attracted six offers, while the procedure for the other contract drew interest from nine bidders.
The two contracts will be partially financed with EU funds under Operational Programme Regions in Growth 2014-2020.
