January 23 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian technology company Bulpros said on Monday it has acquired Germany-headquartered communication security firm Group Business Software (GBS).
Through the acquisition, which took place at end-2016, the company added four new locations in Germany and expanded its portfolio with expertise in the field of communication security, Bulpros said in a statement.

The price of the deal was not disclosed.
"Communication security is a topic of great importance to all companies, especially now in times of digital economy and globalization of communication. We are happy that we managed to find a partner who adds to our portfolio a thorough knowledge of product and business expertise, important for our future development as a company," Ivaylo Slavov, CEO of Bulpros, said in the statement.
The managing director of GBS, Constanze Zarth, commented: "As part of the Bulpros family, we are strengthening our positions in a very competitive environment. By combining expertise and extensive range of services we are able to increase the number of solutions we provide and to effectively reach to more markets."
With the acquisition of GBS, Bulpros also entered the UK and Canada markets.
GBS services include safeguarding of electronic communication, integration of collaborative applications and the interlinkage with cloud, mobile and social business technologies. GBS has more than 5,000 clients through which it services more than 4 million customers worldwide.
Bulpros is an IT services and solutions company with focus on software development, cloud services and technology consulting.
