April 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian diversified group Bulgartabac Holding [BUL:57B] said that its shareholders have approved the management's proposal to change the company's name to Bulgarian Investment Holding.
The proposal was approved at a general meeting held on April 11, Bulgartabac Holding said in a bourse filing on Tuesday.
The proposal was supported by 76.7% of the present shareholders, controlling a total of 65.9% of the company's registered capital.
The company is now due to enter the change into the commercial register.
In 2017, the group sold its biggest cigarette brands for more than 100 million euro ($113.2 million) to British American Tobacco (BAT).
Also in 2017, Bulgartabac Holding acquired local consumer electronics retailer Technomarket and milk products producer Lodis Invest, thus diversifying its portfolio.
