SOFIA (Bulgaria), November 3 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian state-owned natural gas supplier Bulgargaz said its net profit slumped to 1.0 million levs ($594,800/511,000 euro) in the first nine months of 2017, from 39.2 million levs in the like period of 2016.
The company’s revenue increased to 773.0 million levs in the January-September period, from 725.7 million levs a year earlier, Bulgargaz said in an interim financial report posted on the website of the finance ministry.
Cost of natural gas sold rose to 758.4 million levs in the period under review, from 660.4 million levs in the same period last year.
Bulgargaz sold 2.25 billion cubic metres of gas in the review period, up by 7.95% year-on-year.
The company’s total assets decreased to 306.7 million levs at end-September, compared to 337.2 million levs at end-2016.
Bulgargaz is part of the Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH), which pools state-owned energy assets in the country.
