September 18 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian medical equipment manufacturer BTL Industries will invest 10.5 million levs ($6.4 million/5.4. million euro) in its new production plant in the city of Plovdiv, the economy ministry said.
The project for the construction a new plant for electrical medical devices will also create 80 jobs, the ministry said in a statement earlier this week.
Last year, BTL Indsutries said that it decided to build a new plant in the city of Plovdiv in order to meet growing demand. At the time the company said that the plant will employ as many as 500 people and is expected to become operational by 2021.
Bulgaria's BTL Industries, part of U.K.-based BTL Holdings, curently operates a production base in Plovdiv and a research and development centre in Sofia.
