February 28 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian farming group BG Agro [BUL:AO0] said on Friday that its consolidated net profit more than halved to 2.5 million levs ($1.4 million/1.3 million euro) in 2019 from 5.2 million levs in 2018, hurt by a rise in expenses.
BG Agro booked operating expenses of 100 million levs last year, up from 92.8 million levs in 2018, the company said in an annual financial statement.

Cost of goods sold added 5.4 million levs to 70.7 million levs, while expenses for hired services rose by 2 million levs to 12.3 million levs.
The group's operating revenue edged up to 102.6 million levs in 2019 from 98.3 million levs the year before.
