January 22 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange closed lower on Monday, as the blue-chip SOFIX index ended its string of gains recorded in the previous three sessions, bourse data showed.
The SOFIX index, which tracks the 15 most traded and capitalised companies listed on the Sofia bourse, lost 0.07% to 567.11 points, after marking its longest winning streak since December 4 on Monday. Its decline reflected losses in resort operator Albena [BUL:6AB], First Investment Bank (Fibank) [BUL:5F4] and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:4EH].
Albena closed 4.44% lower at 43.0 levs ($1.83/1.61 euro). Fibank and Eurohold fell 1.59% and 1.32%, respectively.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares, closed 0.07% lower at 111.48 points, after falling 0.17% on Monday.
The BGREIT index, which tracks real estate investment trusts listed on both the regulated market and the BaSE Alternative Market of the Sofia bourse, closed at 119.96 points, compared to 120.21 points on Monday.
The biggest gainer on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange on Tuesday was drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR], which appreciated 2.68% to 3.45 levs in a volume of 10,945 shares.
Total trading turnover declined to 200,100 levs ($116,240/102,310 euro) on Tuesday from 3.932 million levs on Monday.
