February 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's BDZ Passengers, part of state-owned railway group BDZ Holding, said on Monday that it has signed a 6.6 million levs ($3.6 million/3.4 million euro) insurance contract with local OZK Insurance.
The deal concerns the insurance of electric locomotives and carriages, BDZ Passengers said in a notice.
The contract was signed on January 23. Two bidders submitted offers in the tender for the contract.
OZK Insurance was Bulgaria's sixth largest non-life insurer by gross written premiums at the end of November 2019, according to the latest Financial Supervision Commission data. The company held a market share of 9.2% with premiums of some 201.6 million levs.
