April 3 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's BDZ Passengers, part of state-owned railway group BDZ Holding, said on Friday that it has launched a tender for a deal for the lease of five electric locomotives with an option for the lease of an additional five, worth up to 25.7 million levs ($14.2 million/13.1 million euro).
The contract will be signed for a two-year period with an option to be extended by a further one year, BDZ Passengers said in a tender notice.
The deal envisages maintenance of the locomotives during the lease period.
The deadline for submitting bids is April 30.
Bids will be ranked solely based on price.
