November 12 (SeeNews) - The average gross monthly wage in Bulgaria increased by 10.7% year-on-year to 1,520 levs ($889.5/777.2 euro) in the third quarter of 2021, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Friday.
On a quarterly comparison basis, the average gross monthly wage edged down by 0.3% in the July-September period, NSI said in a statement.
The highest average wage, of 3,687 levs, was registered in the information and communications sector, followed by financial and insurance business with 2,267 levs. The lowest gross wage, of 940 levs, was recorded in the accommodation and food services.
On an annual comparison basis, the average monthly wages in the public sector and the private sector rose by 12.4% and 10.2%, respectively.
