July 27 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian power plant equipment maintenance company Atomenergoremont [BUL:ATOM] said on Thursday that its net profit zoomed to 12.2 million levs ($6.9 million/6.2 million euro) in the first six months of 2023 from 4.75 million levs a year earlier, due to a significant revenue growth.
The company's overall revenue jumped by 28% on the year to 34.1 million levs in the January-June period, Atomenergoremont said in an interim financial statement.
Revenue from sales of services, which makes up over 99% of the total sales revenue, increased to 30.3 million levs in the review period from 22.8 million levs in the first half of 2022.
Atomenergoremont's operating expenses edged down to 21.9 million levs as of end-June from 22 million levs a year ago, as expenses for materials and cost of hired services declined.
The company's assets amounted to 250.2 million levs at the end of June, up from 242.5 million levs a year earlier.
Atomenergoremont's main client is Bulgaria's sole nuclear power plant, Kozloduy NPP.
Shares in Atomenergoremont last closed at 8.00 levs on the BaSE market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, bourse data showed.
