June 8 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's economic output rose by 2.3% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2023, following an annual increase of 2.2% in the last quarter of 2022, the statistical office said on Thursday.
On a quarterly comparison basis, Bulgaria's gross domestic product (GDP) edged up by 0.5% in the January-March period, after growing by 0.6% in the last three months of 2022, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement, citing preliminary and seasonally-adjusted data.
Bulgaria's GDP totalled some 39.97 billion levs ($21.9 billion/20.4 billion euro) at current prices in the first quarter of 2023.
