April 4 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian telecommunication services provider Allterco [BUL:A4L] said on Tuesday its wholly-owned subsidiary, Allterco Robotics, sold over 15,000 of Internet of Things (IoT) devices in the first three months of 2017, several times more than in the same period last year.
"Our goal this year is to sell over 100,000 units - twice as much as in 2016, and it seems we will achieve it," Allterco CEO Dimitar Dimitrov said in a press release.
The company has reached the final stage of a tender for the delivery of 500,000 devices to a large telecom operator, he added.
The company's children watch MyKi is already one of the best selling smart devices not only in Bulgaria, but also in Croatia via the network of T-mobile, the local unit of Deutsche Telekom, Dimitrov noted.
The company also said that its pet tracking device MyKi Pet has been certified for sale on the US market, as sales are expected to begin in mid-April.
By the end of the year the company plans to launch several new devices under the MyKi brand, he added.
Allterco operates on eight markets. In Southeastern Europe, the Sofia-based company has offices in Romania, Serbia and Macedonia.
