SOFIA (Bulgaria), November 2 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian aluminium products manufacturer Alcomet [BUL: ALCM] said that it recorded a net profit of 742,000 levs ($439,160/379,380 euro) in the first nine months of the year, down from 818,000 levs in the same period of last year.

Alcomet's revenue rose to 374.6 million levs in the nine months through September, from 263.1 million levs a year earlier, the company said in an interim financial statement published on Monday.

In terms of volume, Alcomet's sales rose by 22% on the year to 65,446 mt in the period under review. Sales of extruded products went up 9.51% to 21,768 mt, while sales of rolled products added 29% to 43,678 mt.

Germany remained the company's biggest market in the first nine months of 2021 with a 19% share of all sales, followed by Italy with 15% and Poland with 13%.

The company's output rose by 23% to 65,603 mt in the January-September period of 2021. The volume of extruded products grew to 21,239 mt from 19,240 mt a year earlier, while rolled products output rose to 44,364 mt from 33,974 mt.

As at 14:50 CET on Tuesday, shares of Alcomet traded down 1.09% at 9.05 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.

Alcomet produces household, technical and container foils, sheets and strips, as well as standard and customized profiles.
