May 28 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian resort operator Albena [BUL:6AB] said on Tuesday that its consolidated net loss widened to 9.7 million levs ($4.5 million/4.0 million euro) in the first quarter of 2019 from 8.5 million levs in the same period of last year.
The company's operating expenses edged up to 13.2 million levs in the first three months of the year from 13.0 million levs in the comparable period of 2018, Albena said in an interim financial statement.
Albena's operating revenue fell to 3.6 million levs in the January-March period from 4.5 million levs the year before.
The company's largest shareholder at the end of March was local Albena Holding with a 63.39% stake.
