August 30 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian resort operator Albena [BUL:ALB] said its consolidated net loss, excluding minority interests, expanded to 25.8 million levs ($14.3 million/13.2 million euro) in the first half of this year from a loss of 20.6 million levs in the comparable period of 2022.
Albena's operating revenue fell to 21.1 million levs in the January-June period from 22.4 million levs a year earlier, as income from financing dropped to 186,000 levs from 3.5 million levs, the company said in an interim financial statement on Tuesday.
Operating expenses grew to 47.4 million levs in the review period, up from some 43.1 million levs in the first six months of 2022. The rise was mainly due to higher costs for hired services, which added 37% on the year to 9.6 million levs.
As of 1515 CET on Wednesday, shares in Albena traded flat at 28.00 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
