April 11 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's AES-3C Maritza East I, the operator of coal-fired power plant AES Galabovo, said it has signed deals for the supply of welding materials with local companies Biks, Pan and Kammarton Bulgaria.
The deals are worth a total of 817,000 levs ($517,000/417,700 euro), AES-3C Maritza East I said in a procurement notice on Tuesday.
The contracts were signed on March 15.
AES-3C Maritza East I is part of U.S.-based energy conglomerate AES Corporation. In 1999, a unit of AES Corporation purchased the majority interest in the Maritza East 1 project, renamed AES Galabovo in 2009. The company completed the full acquisition of the 600 MW thermal power plant from Ireland's Consolidated Continental Commerce Limited (3C) in 2005.
