March 22 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's AES-3C Maritza East I, the operator of coal-fired power plant AES Galabovo, said it has signed a five-year framework agreement for the delivery of spare parts with Czech engineering company ZVVZ Machinery.
The agreement, worth 1.2 million euro ($1.5 million), was signed on March 12, AES-3C Maritza East I said in a statement on Tuesday.
On Monday, AES-3C Maritza East said it has signed a four-year framework agreement for the delivery of spare parts with local company Ikoma.
AES-3C Maritza East I is part of U.S.-based energy conglomerate AES Corporation. In 1999, a unit of AES Corporation purchased the majority interest in the Maritza East 1 project, renamed AES Galabovo in 2009. The company completed the full acquisition of the 600 MW thermal power plant from Ireland's Consolidated Continental Commerce Limited (3C) in 2005.
