March 23 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's AES-3C Maritza East I, the operator of coal-fired power plant AES Galabovo, said it has opened a 565,000 levs ($356,400/288,900 euro) tender for repair and maintenance works on the plant's flue gas desulphurization system.
The term of the contract will be two years, AES-3C Maritza East I said in a tender notice on Wednesday.
The deadline for submitting bids in April 13.
Offers will be ranked solely based on price.
AES-3C Maritza East I is part of U.S.-based energy conglomerate AES Corporation, In 1999, a unit of AES Corporation purchased the majority interest in the Maritza East I power plant, renamed to AES Galabovo in 2009. The company completed the acquisition of the 600 MW thermal power plant in southern Bulgaria from Ireland's Consolidated Continental Commerce Limited (3C) in 2005.
