January 14 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's 5.54 million levs ($3.15 million/2.83 million euro) tender for rehabilitation of a 7-kilometre long section of the Berkovitsa-Montana road has attracted four bids, the government's Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) said on Tuesday.
A consortium comprising local construction companies VDH and Hidrostroy has submitted one of the bids in the public procurement procedure for awarding the contract, while Groma Hold, Patengineering-M and Trace Group Hold are running on their own, RIA said in a statement.
The project benefits from EU financing under the Interreg V-A Romania-Bulgaria Programme 2014-2020, through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Works on the project include the laying down of new pavement, the overhaul of a bridge located on the second-class road along with landslide prevention.
Works should be completed within 12 months.
