April 13 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's trade deficit decreased to some 702.1 million levs ($427.2 million/359.0 million euro) in the first two months of 2021, compared to a gap of 741.5 million levs in the like period of last year, the statistical office said on Tuesday, citing preliminary data.
Two-month exports (FOB) declined 1.7% on the year to 9.7 billion levs, while imports (CIF) fell by 2% to 10.4 billion levs, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement.
In February alone, Bulgaria's trade gap widened slightly to 429.8 million levs, from 428.6 million levs in the same month of 2020, as exports went up 2.8% to some 5 billion levs, whereas imports increased by 2.6% to 5.4 billion levs.
