According to business daily Capital, all three companies are affiliated to controversial businessman Delyan Peevski.
In February, Peevski said he would divest his stakes in Bulgaria-registered companies, citing attempts to intentionally discredit his business by involving him in political intrigues. However, according to media reports, the businessman has been transferring his companies' ownership to offshore companies under his control.
Peevski, whose appointment as national security chief for a day in 2014 triggered widespread protests against corruption, has also been allegedly affiliated with collapsed Corporate Commercial Bank (Corpbank), Bulgaria's largest telecom operator by revenue, BTC, as well as with various businesses that have been winning large public contracts. Bulgaria's government has recently scrapped a number of suspicious public procurement orders, many of them awarded to companies affiliated with Peevski.
Lodis Invest owns two diary farms - in the towns of Pazardzhik and Koprivchitsa, in the southern part of the country. It sells its products under the Lacrima and Frezco brands.
According to the Trade Registry, Doreco Commerce's activities include mergers and acquisitions, trade and consulting services.
