November 23 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian telecoms group BTC, trading as Vivacom, said on Friday that its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose by an annual 6.7% to 263.5 million levs ($152.8 million/134.7 million euro) in the first nine months of 2018.
BTC's total revenue increased by 5.3% to 697.4 million levs for the January-September period, the company, said in an interim statement.
The company reached a 30% market share in terms of revenue from mobile services, recording 3.075 million mobile subscribers. The growth is due to the fast mobile network, which the company is developing continuously.
The company's IPTV service customers increased by 14.5%, while fixed broadband subscribers rose by 7.7%, reaching half a million.
On the Bulgarian mobile telecoms market the company competes with А1 Bulgaria, part of Telecom Austria, Telenor Bulgaria, recently acquired by Czech investor PPF, and Max Telecom.
