June 18 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed higher for a fifth straight trading session on Friday, with the blue-chip SOFIX index advancing the most - by 0.21% to 551.89 points, bourse data showed.
The rise in the SOFIX was mainly backed by Central Cooperative Bank (CCB) [BUL:CCB] which saw its share price increase by 3.14% to 0.98 levs. The lender was followed by its main shareholder, diversified group Chimimport [BUL:CHIM], with a 2.33% rise in share price.
A total of 2,602 shares in CCB changed hands at an average price of 0.97 levs on Friday.
The wider BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, increased by 0.15% to 123.01 points, while the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, rose 0.16% to 589.37 points. Both indices were positively affected predominantly by the rise in the price of CCB's shares.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, went up 0.10% to 153.48 points, due to a 0.50% rise in the share price of Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF].
Total turnover on the BSE's main market fell to about 488,600 levs ($296,500/249,800 euro) on Friday from some 578,100 levs on Thursday.
A total of 10,194 shares in Telelink Business Services Group (TBS Group) [BUL:TBS] traded 2.16% lower at an average price of 13.69 levs, contributing some 139,500 levs to the daily turnover. TBS Group was the top decliner among the members of the SOFIX, the BGBX40 and the BGTR30 indices on Friday.
