November 22 (SeeNews) - The main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) recovered from the previous day's losses, with the blue-chip SOFIX advancing on the back of gains in fertiliser maker Neochim [BUL:NEOH] and diversified group Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH], bourse data showed on Tuesday.
Total turnover on the main market of the Sofia bourse soared even further, to some 18.8 million levs ($9.9 million/9.6 million euro) compared to a solid jump to 6.07 million levs on Monday.
The SOFIX closed 0.38% higher at 594.39 points, as Neochim surged 9.27% to 44.80 levs after announcing the restart of nitric acid production following a technical issue.
Doverie ticked up 2.65% to 7.74 levs in a trading volume of 3,231 shares.
By contrast, blue-chip constituent Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG] was the biggest decliner on the day, slipping 4.26% to 1.80 levs and 48,013 shares traded.
Neochim's gain and a 3.00% rise in investment firm Eleven Capital [BUL:11C] to 20.60 levs led to increases in both the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded companies on the Sofia bourse, and the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight.
The BGBX40 ended the session 0.18% higher at 136.50 points, whilst the BGTR30 added the most, 0.46% to 715.18 points.
Meanwhile, the BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, went up by 0.21% to 179.00 points as Advance TerraFund REIT [BUL:ATER] climbed 1.01% to 2.99 levs.
Tchaikapharma High Quality Medicines [BUL:THQM] was the most liquid stock on Tuesday, generating turnover of over 7.3 million levs. The stock closed 0.65% higher at 15.50 levs after 472,258 shares changed hands.
